Get Your API Key

1. Go to portal.speechmatics.com.
2. Sign up for a free account.
3. Open API Keys in the portal and create a new key.
4. Copy your key.

Set Up in VivaDicta

1. Open VivaDicta and go to Settings.
2. Go to Edit Mode → Transcription.
3. Select Speechmatics as the transcription provider.
4. Paste your API key.

Inline Translation

Speechmatics returns a translated transcript alongside the original in the same batch job. Enable translation in your mode's transcription settings to use it - no extra AI rewrite step needed. See the Translation guide for details.

Note on Latency

Speechmatics uses a batch transcription pipeline (job submit + polling), so you'll see slightly higher latency than streaming providers like Groq or Deepgram. The trade-off is accuracy and translation quality - especially worth it for longer recordings or European languages.
