Keyboard Shortcuts
Global shortcut, preset switching, and mini recorder controls.
VivaDicta uses keyboard shortcuts for fast, hands-free control. The global shortcut works system-wide, while mini recorder shortcuts are active only during recording.
Global Shortcut
By default, press the right ⌘ Command key to start recording, press again to stop. It works in any app. The shortcut is configurable in VivaDicta settings.
Mini Recorder Shortcuts
These shortcuts are active while the mini recorder is visible:
| Shortcut | Action |
|---|---|
| ⌘E | Toggle AI processing on/off |
| ⌘1 – ⌘0 | Switch AI preset (slots 1–10) |
| ⌥1 – ⌥0 | Switch Viva Mode configuration |
| ESC ESC | Cancel recording (double-press) |
Preset Slot Assignment
By default, ⌘1–⌘0 map to presets in their sort order. You can assign specific presets to specific slots in settings for a consistent layout regardless of how many presets you have.
Tips
- Use ⌘E to quickly toggle AI processing — for example, turn it off when you just need a raw transcription.
- Assign your most-used presets to ⌘1 and ⌘2 for instant access.
- Use Viva Mode shortcuts (⌥) to override the auto-detected mode when needed.
