iCloud Sync

Sync transcriptions, presets, and settings between Mac and iOS.

VivaDicta syncs your data across Mac and iOS via iCloud. Record on your phone, review on your Mac — or vice versa.

What Syncs

• Transcriptions — all recordings with raw text, AI variations, and metadata.
• AI Presets — built-in and custom presets.
• Custom Vocabulary — your domain-specific words.
• Word Replacements — find-and-replace rules.
• Tags — custom tags sync across devices.
• API Keys — stored in iCloud Keychain (end-to-end encrypted).

Enable / Disable

iCloud sync can be toggled in VivaDicta settings. When disabled, data stays local to the device.

Requirements

• Same Apple ID signed in on both Mac and iOS.
• iCloud Drive enabled in System Settings.
• VivaDicta for iOS installed (available on the App Store).

Troubleshooting

• Data not appearing? Give iCloud a few minutes to sync. Make sure both devices are online and signed into the same Apple ID.
• Sync delayed? iCloud syncs in the background. Open the app on both devices to trigger a sync.
• Duplicate presets? Built-in presets have stable IDs to prevent duplicates. If you see duplicates, they may resolve after the next sync cycle.
