3.12.0
October 3, 2026VivaDicta 3.12.0 adds templates to Obsidian and folder export, so every dictation can land in one daily note. It also brings five new AI models and gets the keyboard back to 12 more apps after dictating.
One Daily Note
- Folder export used to write one new file per transcription. It can now add each transcription to an existing file instead, on top or at the end
- Set the file name to Daily/{date} and a whole day of dictation collects in a single note
- New entries on top go below any YAML frontmatter
- Exporting the same note again updates its entry in place instead of adding a copy
Templates for Export
- File names and entries accept placeholders: {date}, {time}, {text}, {original}, {mode}, {preset} and more
- A slash in the file name creates subfolders inside the folder you picked
- The default file name is the same as before, so nothing changes until you edit it
Custom Obsidian URL
- Write the whole Obsidian URL yourself, for example to prepend to a daily note or to use the Advanced URI plugin
- Placeholders are filled in and URL-encoded automatically
- Leave the field empty to keep the standard note
Five New AI Models
- Grok 4.7 - quality 9.7 at 2.5 s, well over twice as fast as Grok 4.6 at the same quality
- Claude Opus 5.5 - quality 9.6 at 2.4 s
- GPT-6.1 Sol - quality 9.6 at 1.7 s, available with an OpenAI API key
- GPT-6 Sol - quality 9.5 at 1.05 s, and GPT-6 Luna - quality 9.4 at 1.5 s
- GPT-6 Astra, Sol and Luna also work when you sign in with ChatGPT, no API key needed
Back to 12 More Apps
- The keyboard returns you to 12 more apps: Microsoft 365 Copilot, Google Drive, Standard Notes, Photos, Apple Support, Skout, Carousell, Muse, Orca, T3 Code, Neon Vision Editor and Buzz
- Messages now resumes the conversation you were typing in instead of opening a blank message
Fixes and Refinements
- On the Czech keyboard, tapping the gap next to the Y key no longer types z
- GPT-6 models no longer fail in chat and reminder requests
